Free Health Fair For Older Adults And Family Caregivers At Rush University Medical Center On May 17, 2006

Celebrate Older Americans Month this May by attending a free health fair sponsored by RUSH Generations. This special event for older adults and family caregivers will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17th in the Atrium Building, Ground floor of Rush University Medical Center, located at 1650 W. Harrison Street in Chicago.


Take advantage of this opportunity and be proactive in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Save yourself time and trouble by getting multiple screenings all in one place and on the same day. Health experts from Rush will offer a number of free screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, bone density, depression, memory testing, falls assessment, low vision, driving assessment, nutrition and hearing. In addition, educational resources will be available, including benefits eligibility, Medicare Part D, SHIP counselors, caregiver support and assessment, and "ask the doctor."


Raffle prizes will be drawn hourly and free giveaways will be handed out to participants. A boxed lunch will be offered and parking will be validated for health fair attendees.
